The ABC of Sustainability
2019
The ABC of Sustainability is a month-long drawing challenge, I put up for myself on Instagram in February 2019. Each post features a small illustration created with a stylus and drawing app on my mobile phone. Going letter by letter through the ABC, each of these illustrations is connected to a specific topic, starting with the letter of the day. Along with the image come some explanations about the themes and some practical tips on how to live more sustainable.
The A2-size poster below is a visual summary that can be hung up in public places, schools and homes to give a small reminder about the many aspects of sustainability.
Find below the original square images posted on Instagram, wich later were adapted to fit the letter shapes on the poster above. In addition to the sustainability theme, each post gradually shifted background color in order to achieve a rainbow gradient. Each animal featured appears usually in multiple posts, sometimes alone and sometimes together with the previous or following animal to transition smoothly here as well.
